Pavers
Looking
for an alternative to the common concrete or asphalt paving materials?
Why not consider concrete pavers for your job. What are
the advantages?
- Pavers come in a large variety
of colors, shapes and sizes, and finishes. You are sure to find
a combination that will meet your taste and paving needs
- Pavers are extremely
durable. Standard size pavers will take years of vehicular traffic
with no noticeable wear.
-
Paving stones are simple to install, you can save money and do
it yourself. No special skills are needed to install pavers in
simple applications. (If your application involves lots of cuts
and special conditions some construction skills may be needed.)
- Concrete paving stones are very
resistant to damage from frost heave that often damages concrete or
asphalt pavement. Pavers segmental design allows movement
by frost, and reset after a thaw. Unfortunately concrete,
even colored and stamped concrete does not have this flexibility.
-
If a paving stone happens to crack, repair is easy, especially when
compared to repairing cracked concrete. It is as simple as lifting out
the cracked paver and putting in a new one.
Durable elegance is probably the best way to describe pavers. The
above driveway is paved with Abbotsford Concrete Products, Legend paver
in Indian Summer color which is a blend of several shades on the warm
end of the spectrum. These have been sealed with an acrylic sealer which
enhances the color and adds a sheen.
Many commercial and government buildings utilize concrete pavers
for walkways and accents in parking lots.
Part of the Bellingham High School renovation
and reconstruction involved the extensive use of paving stones on the
campus.
One of the most popular styles of pavers
is Abbotsford's Old Country Stone. It is a rustic old world style
paver, mechanically tumbled to simulate the effect of years of wear. Its
rounded edges and chipped corners have a softer effect that many people
find desirable.
We have the largest selection of pavers
and hydrapressed slabs in Whatcom County, all conveniently displayed
