Bulk Materials

At Northstar we not only stock materials for the finishing touches, we also have a what you need to get started.  If you are building a wall, we have the proper gravel for the base, as well as the proper gravel for behind the wall.  If you are installing pavers or flagstone, we have the gravel and sand for that as well.  We stock a variety of crushed gravels,  pea and drain rock, and cobbles.  For your yard and garden, we have three-way top soil,  four-way garden soil, two kinds of bark, cedar chips,  red lava rock and more.  Our convenient location right next to the freeway makes Northstar the ideal place to stop for your bulk material.  

Our Bobcat loader is easy on pick-up trucks and trailers.  The bucket is smaller than most pick-up boxes so the material goes into your truck, not on it.  The half yard bucket is just right for loading soil and gravel in smaller pickups without risk of accidental overloads.  With lighter materials requiring multiple buckets, the Bobcat is quick and agile and will have you loaded and on your way quickly.

We also have a variety of bulk stone in half to one man size (up to 300 pounds) for garden and retaining walls, or for smaller accents in your yard or garden.  You may select stones individually if you desire, or we can load random bulk stone into your vehicle.  Our bulk stones (sold by weight) include "Alpine Green," "Maple Ridge," "Black Mountain," plus limestone, sandstone, and jumbo river rock.  (See photos below)

We offer delivery service for any amount of bulk material (1) you may desire,  from a half yard or a half ton on up.  Smaller quantities will be delivered in our small dump truck.  It has the advantage of being small and comparatively maneuverable and can access places larger, heavier trucks are unable to go. (2)  Larger quantities may be offered the option of one (or more) larger deliveries in a full sized dump truck to save you multiple delivery charges in our smaller truck.
