Masonry Block: At Northstar Stone & Landscape Supply we carry a full line of masonry products for the contractor as well as the do-it-yourselfer. We stock 6 inch and 8 inch standard units (6x8x16 & 8x8x16), plus half block (6x8x8 & 8x8x8), and half high block. We also carry split face block in 6 inch and 8 inch plus all of the fittings too. All of our masonry block is kept dry year 'round to meet the needs of our customers.

Brick: We carry Sumas Clay Products brick which is available in several colors and finishes.  We also have Interwest Brick available.  Stop in and see our sample boards and talk to one of our sales persons about our brick

Blasting Media:  We have  blasting media from two quality suppliers. Tri Vitro is made from recycled glass, ground and screened to size. Usually available in one hundred pound bags, or, by special order, in three thousand pound bulk bags.  Kleen Blast is made from recycled copper slag ground and screened to size. Kleen Blast is also available in one hundred pound bags and can be ordered in 3000 pound bulk bags.  Talk to one of our sales people if you are unsure which is right for your blasting job.  We have  both brands of media in a variety of grits always on hand.

Tool Rentals: A well compacted base is an important step when installing a retaining wall, or when installing pavers or flagstone.  Without proper compaction the ground underneath your project will settle leaving one with a wavy wall or an uneven patio or walkway.  We have plate compactors available for home owners and contractors so you can get the job started right. We also rent brick saws and guillotine paver cutters for both the contractor and the do-it-yourselfer.

Custom Cutting:  We will custom cut to your specifications block, pavers and stone (purchased in house) for a nominal fee per cut.  Actual cost per cut will be determined based on material being cut, and the difficulty of the cut. The fee is based on a per cut basis, not a per item basis.   

Cement and Mortar: If you need mortar mix to apply cultured stone, build a brick or block wall we have among the best available. We carry type "S" and type "N" Basalite mortar, premixed so all you have to do is add water.  For the professional, we carry LaFarge Mortar cement. Add sand and water to make the mortar you prefer. We also have Lafarge type I-II cement and lime for those who prefer to "cook from scratch." 

Other Sack Goods: Our line of sack goods doesn't end with just standard cements and mortars. We carry thinset mortar for applying tile and stone, white cement, non shrink grout, hydracalc, bentonite, fine dry sand, quartz sand and ready mixed concrete in bags.

Tools: We carry a complete line of mason's tools including trowels, jointers, strikers, grout bags, line blocks, twigs, and much more.  We have "moose milk," mortar additives such as Fast Set, plus a wide choice of mortar color.  We also carry cleaners such as muratic acid, plus Kryton's line of cleaners.

Sealers: For putting that finishing touch on your work, or just to protect your investment, we carry a complete line of sealers.  To bring out color and to add a sheen we have Cure and Seal.  If you just want to seal from moisture damage without a sheen, Hydrostop from Kryton is as good as they come.

Drainage Products: With our normal wet weather, making water run where you want it to instead of where it wants to is always a priority. We are happy to be carrying NDS drainage products. We carry NDS channel in several lengths and sizes, pus fittings and catch basins. For your general drainage needs we carry 4 inch perforated drain pipe in one hundred foot rolls and the fittings to go with it.

Pond Supplies: We are now offering high quality pond liner and pumps. We will be expanding this line more as we grow through the coming years. Our pond liner is available up to thirty feet wide and can be cut to any size you may desire.

Geotextiles: Geotextiles covers a wide variety of applications.  They include vinyl grids that extend back into the soil for strengthening and stabilizing retaining walls (geogrid). In most cases retaining walls over four feet in height require geogrid for good stability over the course of time.  We have geogrid in precut rolls, or we can cut the grid you need to your specifications. Road cloth and landscape fabrics also come under the heading of geotextiles.  We carry a good variety of fabrics in several grades and several widths.  You can by it by the three hundred foot roll, or by the foot if you choose. Road cloth helps distribute the weight of your road bed and traffic and prevents the migration of the gravel down into the soil and keeps the soil from migrating up into the gravel road.  Landscape fabrics are used for weed control.  They allow moisture to penetrate the soil for plant health, but prevent the growth of weeds from underneath and helps prevent weeds on the surface from gaining a strong foothold.
